Oscar Kelly made two appearances for Northern Ireland Under-17s during the recent international break.
They were competing in the Elite Round of qualifying for the 2024 UEFA Under-17 Championship but faced an uphill task with England and France in their group.
Northern Ireland faced England in their group opener and despite an impressive first-half performance which saw them head into the break at 1-1, a goal blitz from the Three Lions in the second period meant the game ended 5-1. Kelly was a second-half substitute in the game.
The Dale scholar was an unused substitute as France ran out 5-2 winners in their second match, but the Green and White Army did end on a high, coming from behind to beat Hungary 3-1 in their final match.
Kelly started the game and came close to scoring, striking the woodwork in the first half, before a second half turnaround secured third place in their group.
